Rick Van Hoose, CTFA

Vice President

Chief Fiduciary Officer

Rick Van Hoose joined Riverview Trust Company in 2009. He is a Vice President and Chief Fiduciary Officer.  Rick has over 40 years of trust investment management and administration experience and is a Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA). Rick ensures that Riverview Trust Company adheres to the highest standard of care inherent in our status as a fiduciary. Rick works closely with our operations and compliance staff to monitor and ensure our compliance with all applicable federal and state laws.

Rick is a former registered securities and insurance representative, and is acutely aware of the intimidating variety and complexity of today’s financial products. He serves on our trust management and investment committees and finds deep satisfaction in helping clients achieve financial peace of mind, beginning with understanding the investment products they have now, anticipating how those products might respond to future changes in economic and market conditions, and building out portfolios designed to meet their needs and achieve their goals.

Rick holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Whitman College and is a graduate of the Trust Division of Pacific Coast Banking School. He is a member and Past President of both the Estate Planning Council of Southwest Washington and the Rotary Club of Greater Clark County.

Within the community, Rick has been a frequent youth mentor with the Lunch Buddies program and has served as an instructor for the local Junior Achievement program. Rick and wife Sue have been Clark County residents for many years. In addition to bragging about their children and grandchildren, they enjoy participating in Rotary service projects, vacations in Montana, hiking and even a little golf now and then.
